Cavalera Conspiracy Forced Off Judas Priest Australian Shows. Priest Cancel NZ Show.

This was taken from the band's Myspace page:

Cavalera Conspiracy has been deemed an "inappropriate" band to perform with Judas Priest on their Priest Feast 2008 tour dates in Australia and New Zealand, and have thusly been forced to cancel their appearance at the previously announced tour dates in the southern Pacific. Although Cavalera Conspiracy (featuring Max and Iggor of the legendary Sepultura) had several amazing and successful dates with their brothers in Priest throughout Eastern Europe, apparently the band has been deemed too inflammatory to open for Priest in Australia and NZ...

So, with that said, this post is an apology to the fans in the Australia and New Zealand for the cancellations.

The Cavalera brothers will be back soon (..hopefully with a more reasonably priced tour...)!

Sad news for any fans who bought their extremely expensive Priest tickets exclusively to see Cavalera Conspiracy. The question of who deemed the band 'too inflammatory' for this particular show is still a mystery, since they were apparently very successful in Europe.

That all said, Judas Priest have also canceled their only New Zealand tour, by fault of what they claim to be due to logistic and freight issues. Tickets should be taken back to their point of purchase for a full refund.

Judas Priest will still continue on with their Australian dates as scheduled, although there is no news on who will be the replacement for Cavalera Conspiracy.
